WASHINGTON, DC: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) participated in a meeting of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure to markup H.R. 7613, the Airspace Location and Enhanced Risk Transparency (ALERT) Act of 2026, aviation safety legislation responding to last year’s collision between American Airlines Flight 5342 and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter. The ALERT Act was approved unanimously by the committee.

AVOCA, PA: On Monday, March 23, 2026, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) visited Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents on duty at the Wilkes-Baree/Scranton International Airport on his way to Washington, D.C. He delivered pizza as a small gesture of appreciation for the critical work they continue to perform without pay during the ongoing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown.

WASHINGTON, DC: This week, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) voted in favor of H.R. 1958, the Deporting Fraudsters Act of 2026, legislation to crack down on fraud and abuse in federal benefit programs by ensuring individuals who illegally exploit these systems are held accountable and removed. The bill passed with bipartisan support by a vote of 231-186.

Meet Rob

Born in Kingston and raised in Wyoming Borough and Hughestown, Rob Bresnahan Jr. lives and breathes Northeastern Pennsylvania. From an early age, Rob was an avid participant in his family’s businesses, starting from sweeping the floors at 10 years old to running his grandfather’s electrical contracting company after college.
