WASHINGTON, D.C — Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) voted in favor of the Secure America Act, legislation providing long-term funding for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), ensuring the agencies have the resources needed to secure protect America and its borders. The legislation passed the House today by a vote of 214-212.
WASHINGTON, DC — On January 22, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) voted in favor of H.R. 7147, the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2026 and H.R. 7148, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026. H.R. 7147 passed the House by a vote of 220-207, and H.R. 7148, which includes three of the 12 appropriations bills for Fiscal Year 2026, passed the House by a vote of 341-88.
PITTSTON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Immigration policies and the government shutdown dominating much of the discussion at a forum in Pittston on Friday hosted by Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania.
Friday night’s forum allowed Former U.S. Border Patrol Chief Chris Clem and United States Representative Rob Bresnahan to speak to attendees on immigration and the government shutdown.
For the past 24 days, the United States Government has been shut down, resulting in lost paychecks for federal workers, and looming benefit losses for those on programs like SNAP.
