WASHINGTON, DC: This week, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) voted in favor of S. 1071, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (NDAA), which passed the House by a vote of 312-112.

WASHINGTON, DC: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) voted in favor of H.R. 2550, the Protect America’s Workforce Act, which will nullify a March executive order and restore collective bargaining rights for federal employees. H.R. 2550 passed the House by a vote of 231-195, after Rep. Bresnahan helped secure floor consideration through a successful discharge petition, which he signed on September 2, 2025.

SCRANTON, PA: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) welcomed Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz to Scranton for a healthcare roundtable with local stakeholders and officials. Prior to the roundtable, Rep. Bresnahan and Administrator Oz visited The Wright Center in Scranton to tour the facility and meet with staff and leadership.

LUZERNE COUNTY, PA: Tonight, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) released the below statement following Luzerne County Council’s approval for Tenor Health to borrow tax-exempt funds to purchase Wilkes-Barre General Hospital from Community Health Systems Inc. (CHS). This is another important step toward Tenor’s acquisition of CHS’ three Pennsylvania hospitals, which include Regional Hospital and Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton in addition to Wilkes-Barre General.

The legislation, which passed by a bipartisan vote of 222-209, will fund the government through January 30, 2026.
