Rep. Bresnahan: Telephone town hall had more than 9,000 participants

March 26, 2025

WILKES-BARRE — U.S. Rep. Rob Bresnahan Jr. on Tuesday said his first telephone town hall had more than 9,000 constituents of Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District dial in to the hour-long event.

Bresnahan, R-Dallas Township, said he spoke to constituents and answered their questions over the phone from his Washington, D.C., office.

“I am so appreciative of everyone who tuned in to last night’s telephone town hall,” said Rep. Bresnahan. “Every day, I ask my team what our constituents are calling in about and what we as a team can do for Northeastern Pennsylvania. This town hall allowed me to speak directly to more than 9,000 constituents about the issues that matter most to them. I couldn’t be more grateful for the people of PA-08, and I will continue to do all I can to fight for them every day.”

A news release sent from Bresnahan’s office said more than 9,000 constituents participated in the phone call and an estimated 1,000 tuned in on Facebook.

During the town hall, Rep. Bresnahan answered questions from his constituents, and covered topics including, but not limited to, Medicaid, the Tobyhanna Army Depot, the Rain Tax, inflation, the housing market, veterans, and projects he hopes to work on as a member of the House Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Small Business.
