WASHINGTON, D.C. (WOLF) — The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023 passed in the House on Tuesday with a vote of 218-206. The bill seeks to prohibit transgender athletes from participating in women’s and girls’ sports at schools that receive federal funding.
If enacted, the legislation would define a person’s sex based solely on reproductive biology and genetics at birth.
