WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It’s a big day for northeastern Pennsylvania’s newest congressman. Long-time judge Correale Stevens administered the ceremonial oath of office on Saturday to Rob Bresnahan at the Luzerne County Courthouse.
Bresnahan defeated incumbent democrat Matt Cartwright in November to represent the Eighth district in the US House of Representatives.
The 34-year-old Dallas Township man entered the race with a business background and no political experience.
 
WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. (PA-08) was officially sworn in as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday, January 3, 2025, representing Pennsylvania’s Eighth District.
