“Last night’s vote was just a procedural step to start federal budget negotiations and does NOT change any current laws. I will fight to protect working-class families in Northeastern Pennsylvania and stand with President Trump in opposing gutting Medicaid. My position on this has not and will not change.”

Pennsylvania is celebrating the release of Pittsburgh-area teacher Marc Fogel, who was wrongfully detained in a Russian prison for three years.
Russian authorities arrested Fogel and sentenced him to 14 years for possessing a small amount of medical marijuana to cope with pain from a severe back injury.
One of those celebrating is fellow western Pennsylvanian, U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick (R-Pa.), who met Fogel’s 95-year-old mother while campaigning and continued to advocate for Fogel’s release.
WASHINGTON, DC: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) introduced his first piece of legislation as a Member of Congress. The bipartisan Simplifying Forms for Veterans Claims Act, would simplify forms required by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for veterans and survivors. Rep. Bresnahan introduced the bill alongside Representative Don Davis (NC-01).
WASHINGTON, DC: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) voted in favor of H.R. 27, the Halt All Lethal Trafficking (HALT) Fentanyl Act. This bipartisan legislation, which passed the House by a vote of 312-108, would remove incentives for the creation of new, dangerous substances by permanently designating fentanyl analogues in schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
DALLAS, PA: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) announced office hours in Monroe and Luzerne Counties for the first two weeks of February. While still in the process of setting up individual offices throughout the Eighth Congressional District, Rep.
