DICKSON CITY — The owner of a borough pipeline business touted the Trump administration’s policies and posture Thursday as the head of the U.S. Small Business Administration and two local congressmen toured his Enterprise Street operation and met employees.
WASHINGTON, DC: On March 5, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan, Jr. (PA-08) and the House Committee on Agriculture passed the Farm, Food and National Security Act of 2026, this year’s Farm Bill, by a bipartisan vote of 34-17. The package included Rep. Bresnahan’s legislation, the Local Farmers Feeding our Communities Act, which will help build stronger connections between local producers, and community food programs, expanding markets and improving access to healthy food for those in need.

“Congress has a responsibility to ensure farm policy works for those who grow, raise, and produce our nation’s food,” Rep. Bresnahan said. “I’m especially proud the Farm Bill includes my bipartisan bill, which will help those in need in our communities access healthy, fresh food produced by their neighbors.”
Several Wallenpaupack Area High School career and technical students examined architectural plans for the upcoming joint career and technical center designed to benefit districts in the Wayne/Pike area as they waited on Feb. 26 for their congressman, who delivered a check for $3 million to help build the project.
WAYNE and PIKE COUNTIES, PA — The Wallenpaupack Area School District (WASD) celebrated the receipt of $3 million in federal funding for the Wayne/Pike Career and Technical Center (CTC) on February 26. Officials pointed to the funding both as a financial boon and as a sign of belief in the program’s aims.
“The check being presented today represents resources, but more importantly it represents belief—belief in all of our students, belief in our educators, belief in our workforce and belief in the future of this very region,” said Keith Gunuskey, WASD superintendent.
