WASHINGTON, DC: Today, U.S. Representative Rob Bresnahan Jr. (PA-08) announced that he has joined the Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan group of Members of Congress committed to advancing commonsense solutions to key issues facing the nation. The Caucus is chaired by Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) and Tom Suozzi (NY-03).

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WOLF) — The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023 passed in the House on Tuesday with a vote of 218-206. The bill seeks to prohibit transgender athletes from participating in women’s and girls’ sports at schools that receive federal funding.

If enacted, the legislation would define a person’s sex based solely on reproductive biology and genetics at birth.

WILKES BARRE, PA: Today, Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. (PA-08) held a ceremonial swearing-in at the Luzerne County Courthouse, where he took the Oath of Office as a Member of Congress. Congressman Bresnahan first officially took the Oath of Office in Washington, D.C., on January 3, 2025.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It’s a big day for northeastern Pennsylvania’s newest congressman. Long-time judge Correale Stevens administered the ceremonial oath of office on Saturday to Rob Bresnahan at the Luzerne County Courthouse.

Bresnahan defeated incumbent democrat Matt Cartwright in November to represent the Eighth district in the US House of Representatives.

The 34-year-old Dallas Township man entered the race with a business background and no political experience.
